As we all know that this year is ending and New Year is coming. We had many plans for this year. Most of them were fulfilled and many more were to be achieved. And on this coming event of the new year, we all make a fresh list of our resolutions which we will focus on.
New year resolutions may vary from person to person according to their daily work profile. Like if you are a student, working professional, or housewife, you will plan coming year resolutions accordingly.
What is New Year Resolution?
A New Year’s resolution is a promise by a person with himself for the coming year. It may be a commitment to achieve a particular goal, change bad habits like quitting smoking & drinking or late wake-up practice, eating junk foods, etc.
Here we are suggesting a few resolutions that may suit you.
Most people are struggling with depression and anxiety because of the non-completion of their multiple goals. For that set one specific achievable goal first and then go for the second one. Discuss with your family and friends whom you trust and tell them to help you to keep motivated.
Or you can be motivated by others, by reading books, talking with your mentor about your incomplete goals. And finally, take a break and start afresh.
Give time to your family
In today’s time most people running for a better career. Want to grab new opportunities and this opportunity comes along with heavy professional responsibilities. And in this scenario, their family is left behind. There should be a proper balance between family and profession. So, this point must be in your New Year Resolution.
“To keep the body in good health is a duty…otherwise we shall not be able to keep the mind strong and clear.” – Buddha
Whatever your requirement i.e gain, lose or maintain weight, but keep healthy. Being healthy, include exercises, walking, running, dancing, yoga in your daily lifestyle. Eat well-balanced non-oily and avoid junk food with lots of fruits. Choose a low-fat diet, less cholesterol, and moderate salt and sugar.
As a proverb “An Apple a Day Keeps Doctor Away”
Helping others feels you happy that boosts your energy level and encourages you to accomplish your goals in a better way.
Wake up Early
Most of us have a bad habit of late wake-up. That cause delay in our every task and it becomes our lifestyle. So, this is one of the best resolutions for a new year to wake up early but make sure you had proper sleep during the night.
Smart Habits That Save Money
Let’s plan to save money for future purposes. Because nobody knows when an emergency came and we need money. Here are a few tips for Saving Money
- Pay Cash and avoid credit cards, increase liabilities.
- Keep the focus on your spending.
- Don’t purchase a new launch product very soon because after some time price goes down.
- First deposit in the bank than spends because we can not save after our expenses.
- Keep investing in funds and insurance policies.
Disconnect from your Phone
In earlier times if people want to meet someone then they meet physically. They calculate and remember things in their mind, which makes them physically and mentally strong and active. But nowadays we are addicted to mobile phones.
We do most of the work virtually like online study, office projects, friends group meetings. Which makes us introverted and weak physically and mentally too. So, make planning for the coming new year to come back to the physical world rather than a virtual state.
Learn a new Skill
It’s a lifelong good practice to learn something new. It supports your life to progress and achieve new goals. Always focus on a difficult task and find out the way to accomplish that. Test yourself, again and again, to check where you stand as compared with others.
Quit Bad habits
This should be a prime new year resolution in your list to quit bad habits i.e quit smoking and drinking alcohol. It is dangerous for your health and also cuts down your savings.
Interact with Nature
We are leaving in a busy and hectic environment due to our study, office work, or having responsibilities. So, we need a break to relax.
As per research, humans are psychologically attached to nature. they feel pleasure in the lap of a green environment, near mountains and on the beaches. This situation decreases negative emotions like anger, depression, anxiety, etc.
So, whenever possible come close to your garden area or take a leave for vacation and spend time with nature.
After reading the above points you might be wonder that I didn’t include a resolution about higher career growth. Because in my view if you follow these points then you will definitely get professional growth.
